Over the last several years, no single person on this planet has had the blood of more innocent men, women and children on his hands than Zarqawi. He personified the dark, sadistic and medieval vision of the future, of beheadings, suicide bombings, and indiscriminate killings, a behavior pattern that has been rejected by the overwhelming majority of the Iraqi people, whether Sunni, Shias or Kurds, and certainly by the overwhelming majority of Muslims worldwide.

what 'bout Haditha?.....
An investigation is ongoing on Haditha, and if indeed some Marines were responsible, they deserve the appropriate penalty for murder. That's one of the beauties of democracy - there's a process, not always clean or successful, but at least some type of mechanism to deal with lawbreakers.
However, we should also note that unlike barbarians like Al Qaeeda, the US military does not consciously target civilians. Civilians might have been killed either by acts of omission or by deliberate acts by individuals, but the US military leadership does not wake up every morning thinking how they could kill more innocents!
